Thursday Thunks

The Halloweeney Version of Thursday Thunks

Welcome to the October almost Halloweenth version of Thursday Thunks!
(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want. Write about it on your blog... simple as that. Maybe you can interpret it as a picture - we don't care!
Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post. Please mention us in your post, and link back to the blog here.
Don't forget to go visit the other participants' blogs. Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks! That's what all this is about after all, isn't it? We'll have so much fun and become lifelong friends....

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color Blood red and the number 31.

1. So Halloween is this weekend, if you haven't heard. Are you gonna open your doors up or not? Not...there are not many who come and we don't need consume the left overs...we are fluffy enough.
2. You better open 'em cuz I'm coming... what are you putting in my treat bag?
Well, if you must, you will probably get an orange or because of you age, a beer.
3. Since October is the bestest month for television (well for cable & dish subscribers it is) and there is a horror movie on at any given time of the day - are you sick of them yet?
Reached that years ago when they got so bloody!
4. Which one of those movies can you watch over & over again?
All of the ones from the Lon Chaney, Bella LaGosey, Boris Carliff.
5. Tell us about a Halloween scare you've had....
I can''t remember any...I've had scares but just not any involving Halloween ..and as that is the subject, we will not go into them.
6. Did you watch the old Casper cartoons when you were a youngin? Well, back then they weren't old I suppose, but I'm sure you still understand my question.
Of course...they were sweet.
7. Have you ever found a four-leaf clover?
Yes, several!
8. Haunted Houses... you know, the kinds you pay to get in and they chase you with chainsaws and severed heads.... do you like 'em?
No.
9. Do you use cute cartoon type wrapping paper for Christmas presents or the not cutesy paper? Or are you one of those gift card and/or gift bag people?
I use whatever I like at the time. I have used funnies from the newspaper, tissue paper, etc. It's fun to use different things.
10. How long do boiled eggs need to stay in the boiling water before they become hard boiled eggs?
It's been so long since I made them, I would have to look it up in Joy of Cooking, my kitchen bible.
11. Jason is coming in through your front door... Freddy is coming through your back door... zombies are at every window of the house and Norman Bates is calling to invite you to dinner... what do you do?
Be at the movies watching a comedy and then spending the night at a lovely hotel until Halloween is over.
12. Did you know that the scariest part of Halloween is giving all of your Reeses Peanut Butter Cups away?
No, why?
13a. If you were to play a part of a haunted house (not the ghosts in the attic kind), what would you want to be?
A witch stirring a cauldron of something bubbling and steaming.
13b. Have you ever played a part in a haunted house?
No they are way after my time.
14. If Thursday Thunks had a Halloween party, what do you think Kimber & Berleen would come dressed as?
Twiddle Dumb and Twiddle Dee? Raggedy Ann and Andy? The Mummy and Frankenstein?
15. Do you cook a turkey for Thanksgiving?
Yes, and any other time I can find an excuse to!
16. Have you ever read a book that scared the pants off of you?
Yes, Hell House...shiver!
17. Whats the predicted high temperature for today?
72
18. Have you ever howled at the moon?
Sure but it is more fun to howling with my dogs (we call it singing). Poor DH, he can't get them to sing with him.
19.You are in an alley and a werewolf and a vampire are coming at you - one of them has to win. Which one do you want to bite you?
Neither, thank you. OK, if you are going to be fussy about it...vampire...they always sort of hypnotize you before biting.

Marice, they were like from the 30's and 40's and used to show in the Saturday Night Scary movies...those guys were the originals! Lon did all the werewolf ones, Boris was in the mummy ones, and Bella was the vampire! They may seem kind of hooky today but they were scary enough for us. Now I watch them because I still find them fun. Just in case you think I am a hundred years old, those movies were old when I was a kid...I've always loved old movies!

I love the idea of wrapping things in the funnies. Too bad things are rarely funny enough nowadays =(

yeah, is it just me or does it seem like there are fewer funny pages in the sunday paper as there used to be? anyway, those papers are good as recycle for package wrapping. AND you don't feel as bad when people rip into it like you do when it is pretty store bought paper!

I am not cheap! I am thrifty!
