Facing the end of the old and beginning of the new

Yes, this is what it looked like! Not pretty and I thought it would never end! But at last, it is done! Everything is set up for 2009 taxes ... just waiting for the forms from other people. AND things are set up for 2010... all I have to do is file as I go. No more piles of piles!

Now that that is done, all i have to do is catch up on reading and write a dozen reviews and thank yous and emails and stuff like that.

Weeeellll, I have to be honest, I opened up my Yahoo mail and saw 2000 pieces! I freaked! So I closed it. I thought about it and made an executive decision. Read the titles and delete all that do not look auspicious! And that is how I got control of that bucket. Next is the Gmail. Shiver.

I have come to some conclusions...I talk to much. It is not necessary to write notes on all the postings I read. So new rule: Comment only when you really have something to say.

Referencing contests, new rule: no entering any more book contests until the pile gets lower!

Now we all know rules are made to be broken but I am hoping....

You said that WORD: Taxes -YIKES! Glad to hear you have that under control.

2000 emails would make me shiver too. Good luck with all the new stuff you have planned!

We must have been on the same page...I was getting my tax stuff together, too. I organized the folder a bit, and I made an appt. with the tax person...that's it. When I get the stuff from everyone else...then I'll organize further.

Or maybe I'll work on it before then!

I know what you mean about those pesky Challenges. They look so enticing, and then you have a whole list of them!

Well done! It's such a relief to get on top of things like that. You're right about the commenting and that's how I handle. Comment when it's something that interest you. I generally don't comment on book reviews for which the books I will never read. Anyway congratulations on getting so much done and good luck with the gmail!

Ooh, Taxes >.<
Congrats on making through that alive! Lol

Those are some great new rules-Sometimes you just have to say when enough is enough for awhile. Taking care of yourself is way more important!!

And trust me: I've been there and done that on the book front. LOL

Yucko! Taxes phooey that time again? grrrr

I try to comment on the posts that really interest me. I would love to comment on all of them but its impossible and gets overwhelming. But even though I dont get to comment on them doesn't mean I dont glance at them, read them, or whatever. Just depends on the subject or what it is and same goes for my email here lately.

Like you I have cut way back on signing up for contests. I have so many books now that I really need to knock my TBR down.

So your not alone hon. {{Big Huggers}}

Filing is my least favorite task and unfortunately every year at this time I dig myself out of the invoice piles that I have procrastinated on.

ahh, it took me awhile to get used to 3 email accounts and sometimes I just dump them all by title as you did! It is tough to get behind! You can breathe a little once the taxes are done!!
