Snapea Crisps

After finishing with the vampires in preparation for my doctor's appointment next week, DH took me to Sprouts (who have opened a store just down the road from us...YEA). I love them as they are so nice to me when it come to helping me pick the best of the best fruit!

While whizzing around the store, I came to am abrupt halt in front of a display of Snapea Chips...original flavor baked made by Calbee Snack Salad.  Isn't that a good looking product? And it looks like it should be crunchy. And I was craving a good salad with lots of textures. So I bought a bag. I recommend you break them up when using in a salad.

These are so good! Even without the salad or dip or anything! But I have to warn you...very addictive! I looked them up on the web, you can see all their products here.

No, I am not getting any rewards from Sprouts or Calbee....but I do so like both!

About time!

So reading my email of other people's blog postings, I came across one that was showing off a coffee tables from All Coffee Tables.com...the bane of my wheelchair! But being the nosey little critter I am, I wondered over to CSN and some how ended up look at end tables. This one stuck my eye! No wonder it is a top seller!

Isn't it beautiful! ('comes in different woods if you aren't as in love with the cherry much as I). What really caught my eye is the little pull-out tray to hold cups or glasses which seems to have a covering that would protect it from water marks! I really dislike water marks on wood (which are so prevalent on my inherited end tables from my father)!  With that handy-dandy shelf, you just have to train house inhabitants to use the shelf and not the top! Beauty and function! Works for me! 

And then there is that lovely door underneath (could be a good storage place for my yarn or some of those books from my overcrowded book shelves)!

Organic Deodorant Roll-on

The people at Tropical Traditions have once again let me try out one of their products.  I have been looking for a deodorant that a) works! b) smells nice c) I can use on a regularly without my underarms breaking out in the itchy witchies! and d) work on DH as well.

RESULTS:
a) YES, it works!
b) I wanted to know what 'frankincense' (essential oils of wild crafted frankincense and sandalwood) smelled like but sort of thought it might be uni-sexual. My other choices were 'lavender' (essential oils of lavender, lemon and rosemary) and 'classic' (essential oils of rosewood, geranium, cedar wood and patchouli).  These might also server well for both sexes but I was really, really...you know. It smells very nice!
c) NO DESIRE TO CLAW THE UNDERARMS!
d) He acknowledges it works well. As for the fragrance, he is a bit ambivalent.

This is a winner! Next time we will try a different fragrance to see if it strikes his fancy better (men!).

Now that I have my new wheelchair that goes up and down, this might be an option for us. We like darker woods. And the pricing is way better than the game table that I got before we got married (and DH hates)! 

OH...I found this while strolling through Dining Rooms Direct. Well, with all the talk in the blogging world, I had to check it out. And then, they wanted to be talked about. Win, Win. 


Seriously, I had to quit my investigation... so many, MANY sets of dinning room sets! Styles! Light wood, dark wood, glass! The mind swirls! I have to also think about getting my wheels under one which most folks don't have to think about.

Coconut Peanut Butter!

I like Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter and love Tropical Traditions! I got this a bit ago on a very warm (TEXAS) day. As it had set on the front porch a while, I had lots of time to keep rotating it to mix together the two ingredients. 

I waited until thoroughly cool and blended and tried it on some bread. I found it lots better than the organic butters I have tried in the past.

I delayed this posting until we (DH and I) had a chance to do some experimenting. First one failed: cooked chicken strips and added peanut butter at the end of cooking...split and was ucky. Second one worked: cook chicken strips alone. Warm some of the peanut butter in the microwave on medium until  more than warm. Serve over chicken strips and top with some chopped green onion. (I might have added some minced peanuts while heating the mix but we didn't have any...no extra coconut either). Third one worked:  cooked some Chinese noodles. Added finely minced onion to the butter as it is warmed. Toss with noodles and, wala, I had some quick dan dan type noodles...liked it best cold.

Tropical Traditions has lots of recipes for you like together Sweet Potato Coconut Peanut Butter Soup. I ask you, how good does that sound?? (They have tons of recipes for all their products if you don't want to invent on your own!)

Now here's the question...to add spices or to try some of Tropical Traditions other peanut butters?  I mean, look at the choices!!! I see classic (goes with everything), spicey Southwestern (cayenne maybe or Capote), vanilla cranberry (slerp), dark chocolate (love!),  cinnamon current (IE, raisin-don't even need raisin bread), onion parsley (maybe on potatoes?), Valencia (maybe orange) creamy and chunky, hickory smoked (what can i do with this!?), Thai ginger red pepper. This is like peanut butter heaven! Do you think they would let me try all of them...maybe like just an ounce of each?

You know...how a 2 yo picks up one thing and then some something else with another and then finds a third thing so must put something down in order to pic up third thing. Well, that's me. I read/write my email, FaceBook, Twitter, Ancestry.com and next thing you know time has flown! And I can't go to my book until I finish my reviews! So here's the plan...think else until I am caught up on reviews!

FYI, I saw this in a contest (that I didn't win) but thought this was so great for so many people, both dis and able-bodied people alike. It has so many purposes. And i think it is better than the standard bed table because not only because it has so many positions, it will fold up thinly. Anyway, the company has not sent me one of these (i wish!) nor do they know I am doing this. I just was so excited about that I had to share!

If Santa brings me one, i will give you a first hand report. Meanwhile, think of all the people you know who can use this when stuck in bed or...

A Yummy Day Review

DH took Mystery Pup for a walk and on his return, he checked the mail. Among the bills and junk mail, I received a package from Fiber One. What a propitious arrival, because when I opened the wee box, I found a coupon for any one of the other Fiber One products.

But even better was a Fiber One snack bar and a box of cereal!!! The snack bar disappeared in no time (I was hungry). The flavor was "Oats and Chocolate". It was wonderful; chewy and crunchy! It was just what I needed to satisfy my hunger pains until we could fix dinner. I guess I will have to buy some more as at 140 calories, it will be good for snacks.

This morning I had the Fiber One Honey Clusters cereal. It contains 51% of the daily requirement of fiber. It was quite good. Not too sweet and nicely crunchy. No taste of the cardboard box it came in. I ate it without milk because some times I just like cereal that way, like a fun snack. Now here's the deal. Not all cereals, while still good, can be eaten this way; they just need milk to complete them. This Fiber One cereal tastes very nice all by itself with no after taste. The lovely thing about eating Fiber One without milk, is you don't eat it in a hurry for fear it will become all soggy.

These two items will go on the shopping list.
